HYDROGRAPHIC SURVEYS – 11 ENTRANCES

Project Description.

McGlashan and Crisp have been engaged by Minor Ports NSW to carry out surveys of 11 entrances every 6 months from The Tweed River in the north to The Clyde River in the south.  These surveys utilise the latest real time high data sounding systems.

MANNING WATERS ESTATE, TAREE – A FINALIST

Manning Waters Estate is an 88-lot residential subdivision which consists of high quality residential buildings.  The subdivision saw the transformation of essentially an industrial gravel extraction, crushing and concrete product processing site into one of Taree’s premier riverside residential estates that was a Finalists in the 2005 ISNSW Awards for Excellence in Surveying and Spatial Information Environmental Planning Category.

Forseshore

The foreshore was once covered in noxious weeds and has now been reshaped and replanted with native riverine species.  It is now a popular area where people congregate for picnics to enjoying the rural surroundings and access to The Manning River.

McGlashan and Crisp were instructed to;

1. To survey the outer harbour.
2. To survey the marina and entrance to identify any shoaling.
3. To survey the waters to the north and adjacent to the northern seawall connecting to Muttonbird Island.
4. To scan the northern side of the northern seawall.

The Hydrographic Survey was carried out using a Ceeducer Pro Survey Fathometer recording depths, heights and position. All height and position data was provided by a Topcon RTK GPS system.

The scanning was completed using a Riegl VZ-1000 laser measurement system to capture the break wall with a total of 13 scans carried out over the course of 1.5 days.

Bullocks Run is a high quality 55 lot Rural Residential Subdivision which McGlashan and Crisp have been involved with all levels of this project, from Project Management, planning approvals, bushfire assessments, surveying (detail, final title plan and construction), road design, drainage, sewer and water supply design and supervision of contract and construction.
